Transformational Threads is delighted to announce that its thread painting Peacock
Crimson will be exhibited and offered for purchase at a unique Vietnamese Trunk Show and Sale
in September at the
Smithsonian Institution’s Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M.
Sackler Gallery.

Released in a limited first edition of 25 to celebrate the company’s one-year anniversary in 2009,
Peacock is based on a licensed image of Maryland artist Judith Olivia HeartSong’s
painting of the same name.
Produced in custom hand-embroidery by highly skilled artisans
in Vietnam, the exquisite, brilliantly colored, and highly textured embroidery version of
Peacock is exclusive to Transformational Threads.

The company is offering Peacock through an arrangement with Galerie Brigitte, the
Smithsonian's vendor for the trunk show. Galerie Brigitte, owned by Brigitte Le, has selected and
will display and sell during the show a beautiful selection of Vietnamese fine art and craft,
including sculpture, pottery, and jewelry. The trunk show will be the first such event at the
Smithsonian to offer Vietnamese-made goods.

The three-day exhibit and sale of Vietnamese art and fine craft will take place September 24-26,
2010, at the Sackler-Freer Galleries, located on the National Mall, at 12th Street and
Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C. (The galleries are located near the Smithsonian
Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange Lines.) Hours will be 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily.
